Until just a few years ago she was on the visual side of the marketing business — she’s an award-winning graphic designer and marketing consultant. She explains that she had always hired writers.
But when she started her current business in 2010, she began the “terrifying” process of writing her own content. And the key point is that she got started, because over time her writing improved to the point where she was contributing posts to one of the very best content marketing websites, Copyblogger.
Eventually that company hired her to be an editor!
Designers are trained to see and respond to patterns. After Pamela became a prolific writer she noticed that all great content consisted of the same seven components.
Those seven components form the backbone of her book, which she refers to has her “lazy” (efficient) approach to content creation. And her system for creating consistently great content is laid out in a very specific series of steps.
One of the biggest “secrets” in her system? Not trying to create the content at one time. In fact, she does it over several days; a little bit at a time.
Not a bit of this book is theory – everything in it has been developed and proven over time to create great content using a surprisingly simple approach.
